AGIT STUDIO는 2013년 건축 작업실에서 출발하여, 2017년 서울을 기반으로한 건축사무실로 설립되었다. 2023년 젊은건축가상 수상, TSE 베니스 건축비엔날레 참여등 활발한 활동을 하고 있다.

AGIT STUDIO의 건축은 좋은 질문을 만드는 것과 상황에 대한 우리만의 고유한 해석에서 출발한다.
모더니즘의 가치에 기반에 성장했지만 그것이 기만한 부산물에 역시 관심이 있다. 그것은 지역성이고 현재이고, 사회이고, 도시이고, 장소이고, 속력과 방향, 인간과 유머에 관계한다. 건축 작업들은 이 위에서 부닥치며 진행된다. 건축이 수반하는 진정적 어려움을 소중히 여긴다.
고유성을 가진 땅에 단단한 물성으로 존재하는 덩어리로서 건축이 형태와 구조, 재료와 환경, 디테일과 구축, 한계와 실험이 명료한 생각으로 점철되는 것을 지향한다. 온기를 머금지만 차가움과 낯섦을 유지하는 건축이다. 이를 위한 건축적 집요함을 만드는 곳이 아지트이다.

AGIT STUDIO was founded as an architectural atelier in 2013 and established as a Seoul-based practice in 2017. The studio is co-led by architects Jamin Seo and Geunil Heo, and was awarded the Korean Young Architect Award in 2023.

Our work begins with a question—one that is carefully crafted and uniquely interpreted within each context. While grounded in modernist values, we remain attentive to the unintended byproducts of modernism: regional identity, contemporary realities, social and urban conditions, place, speed and direction, as well as the human and the humorous. Our projects emerge through the confrontation and negotiation of these forces, embracing the true challenges of architecture.
We pursue architecture as a solid mass grounded in a distinctive site—where form and structure, materiality and environment, detail and construction, limitation and experimentation are unified through rigorous thinking. Our work aims to retain warmth while preserving a sense of restraint and unfamiliarity. AGIT STUDIO is where this architectural persistence is cultivated.

서자민 Seo, Jamin

연세대학교 건축학과를 졸업하고 미국 펜실베이니아 대학교에서 석사학위를 받았다. 삼우종합건축과 원오원 아키텍스에서 실무를 쌓았다. 2013년 작업실 아지트스튜디오를 공동설립하고, 2017년 아지트스튜디오 건축사사무소 개소 후 대표 건축가로 건축작업을 진행하고 있다. 2021년 국토교통부 건축인재육성사업에 선정되었으며, 2023년 문체부 젊은건축가상을 수상하였다. 대한민국 건축사이고 연세대학교 건축학과 겸임교수로 스튜디오를 맡고 있다.

Jamin Seo graduated from the Department of Architecture at Yonsei University and received a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania in the United States. She gained professional experience at Samoo Architects & Engineers and One O One Architects. In 2013, he co-founded Agit Studio, and in 2017, she established Agit Studio Architects, where she currently leads architectural projects as principal architect.
In 2023 she received the Korea Young Architect Award, and in 2021, she was selected for the Architectural Talent Development Program(MOLIT). She is a registered architect in Korea and serves as an adjunct professor at the Department of Architecture at Yonsei University, where she leads a architecture design studio.

허근일 Huh, Guen-il

고려대학교 건축학과를 졸업했다. 제 25회 김태수 해외건축여행 장학제 수상자이며, 삼우종합건축과 스위스 Stocker Lee Architetti에서 다양한 프로젝트로 실무를 쌓았다. 2013년 작업실 아지트스튜디오를 공동 설립하였고, 2023년부터 아지트스튜디오의 공동대표 건축가로 사무실을 이끌고 있다. 2021년 국토교통부 건축인재육성사업에 선정되었으며, 대한민국 건축사이고 현재 고려대학교 건축학과 겸임교수로 스튜디오를 맡고 있다.

Guen-il Huh graduated from the Department of Architecture at Korea University. He is a recipient of the 25th Kim Taesoo Overseas Architecture Travel Scholarship and gained professional experience through a range of projects at Samoo Architects & Engineers and Stocker Lee Architetti in Switzerland.
In 2013, he co-founded Agit Studio, and since 2023, he has been leading the practice as co-principal architect of Agit Studio Architects. In 2021, he was selected for the Architectural Talent Development Program(MOLIT). He is a registered architect in Korea and currently serves as an adjunct professor at the Department of Architecture at Korea University, where he leads a architecture design studio.
